Background

The pioneering efforts by the university to democratize the admission process by utilizing cutting edge technologies have also been widely acclaimed. The University introduced Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) for the PG programmes in the University Statutory Teaching Departments from the year 2012 onwards following the resounding success of the CAP initiatives for UG and PG programmes in the affiliated colleges. As all these initiatives received overwhelming response from the student community, college/department authorities and the general public, the University has decided to broaden the reach of the admission process for the PG programmes in the University Teaching Departments by introducing a national level Common Admission Test (CAT) from the academic year 2015-16 onwards.

CAT-MGU

The admissions based on CAT- MGU will be through a Centralized Allotment Process. Applicants may submit only one application (online) and can apply for a maximum of programmes from four different schools/departments/centres except MBA in SMBS. However, the candidate needs to pay a separate application fee for examinations opted from different schools/departments/centres.
